What Makes White Chocolate Chip Cookies Chewy Vs Crunchy?

If you want your white chocolate chip cookies chewy and crunchy, try following these steps.

Add a tablespoon of honey or molasses to the dough before baking to make them chewy. Add more brown sugar instead of white sugar as brown sugar contains more moisture making your cookies chewy.

You should add melted butter to have dense and chewy cookies as no extra air is added to the dough during creaming.

When you use two eggs, try using one whole egg and one egg yolk (leave out an egg white), and add two tablespoons of milk, which will give you chewy cookies.

For crunchiness in your cookies, add all-purpose flour that will result in a darker brown and crispy cookie.

How Do I Store White Chocolate Chip Cookies?

There are two ways to store white chocolate chip cookies.

One is to freeze the dough before baking. After you prepare the dough, roll it into even-sized balls and place it on a baking sheet.

You have to flash-freeze these cookie calls until they harden. Then transfer them into an airtight container till you want.

Once you decide to bake these cookies, remove the frozen dough from the freezer and keep it in the refrigerator overnight or at room temperature for two hours before baking.

The second method is freeze-baked cookies. After you baked your cookies, let them cool down to room temperature and then store them in an airtight container. You can store white chocolate chip cookies in the freezer for two months.

When you want to have them, take them out and keep them at room temperature for a few minutes. Then heat them in the oven set to 250 degrees F in a baking dish covered with foil or a lid.

If you are keeping them at room temperature or parceling them, seal them in an airtight container and add a piece of bread to the bag that will slow down the moisture loss from the cookies.

        How Long Do It Last?

The chocolate chip cookies can last up to three to five days at room temperature and in the freezer for up to two months in an airtight container.

Heat them for five seconds before serving them after taking them from the refrigerator.
