Preheat your oven to a temperature of 350°F.
In a large bowl, mix the strawberries together with ⅓ cup of sugar. Keep it aside to macerate.
To a 13x9-inch baking dish, pour the butter. Keep it in the preheated oven until it melts, for around 10 minutes.
In the meantime, in a medium-sized mixing bowl, mix together the baking powder, flour, salt, and ⅔ cup of sugar left. Pour the milk and vanilla extract into it. Keep stirring till it is well combined.
The next step is to remove the baking dish from your oven carefully. Now pour the batter on top of the melted butter. Spoon the strawberries above the batter, leaving any remaining liquid in the bottom of the bowl and ignoring it.
Bake for close to 55 to 60 minutes or till the batter turns out to be golden brown and the strawberry juices are bubbling. Keep it for cooling for 15 minutes. If you wish, serve the strawberry cobbler with vanilla ice cream.
