Happy Fourth of July!
Today, I bring you a delicious barbecue recipe. . . that’s also vegan.
This easy and tasty tofu dish is sure to be a hit at any 4th of July party. Or anywhere at all for that matter.
Barbecued Tofu – original recipe can be found here
- 2 blocks extra firm tofu
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- Juice from 1 lime
- 3/4 cup tamari
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tsp sweet Asian chile sauce
- 5 tbsp maple syrup
Even without a trace of meat, this tofu comes out full of flavor, thanks to an easy homemade barbecue sauce and a very interesting method used to remove moisture before baking.
